What About Gluten and Dairy?

I'm confident that you can eat all the high FODMAP fruits and veggies again. But, gluten and dairy may be a different story. Here are some things to consider:

  • If you have Celiac disease like me or a wheat or gluten allergy I cannot help you eat gluten again. If you have an autoimmune disease that you know to be responsive to gluten, there is a low (but not zero) chance that this program can help you eat gluten again.
  • If you have a dairy allergy I cannot help you eat dairy again. If you are lactose intolerant, there is a low likelihood that you’ll be able to tolerate dairy without enzyme support (Lactaid) again. This is particularly true if you are of an ethnicity that has a high incidence of lactose intolerance (Latino, Asian, or African descent). If you have an autoimmune disease that you know to be responsive to dairy, there is a low (but not zero) chance that this program will help you eat dairy again.

"What Symptoms/Conditions Can You Help With?"

What Conditions Can FODMAP Freedom Help With?

Notes from Dr. DiNezza:

  • While it is quite possible that FODMAP Freedom will help symptoms/conditions outside of the gut (ex. autoimmune conditions, eczema, fibro, brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, depression), 1. That is not the focus of this program and 2. We cannot guarantee such results and 3. Monitoring conditions/symptoms outside the gut may not be an accurate way to measure progress.
  • We have helped people with IBD and a history of colorectal cancer in the past. But, I want to err on the side of caution and speak to you before you decide to join us. Please make sure to note these diagnoses when you book your discovery call.
  • We have had limited success helping people with GERD, LPR, and gastritis in this program. If your primary/most severe symptoms are upper GI in nature (GERD, LPR, gastritis), FODMAP Freedom is not the best place for you. If your primary/most severe symptoms are shown with a green check mark above (ex. constipation) and you have mild GERD, LPR, or gastritis, then we may be able to help you. That's a totally fair question. Life is full and it’s easy to feel like later will somehow be easier.

"Is This Only for People on the Low FODMAP Diet?

Why Did You Pick the Name FODMAP Freedom?"

Great question! I chose the name FODMAP Freedom for a few reasons:

1. I've always liked alliteration

2. Many people come to me with the goal of reintroducing FODMAPs

3. "Dr. DiNezza's super amazing gut healing program" just doesn't roll off the tongue 🤣

But, all joking aside...
This program is not just for people who are on the low FODMAP diet. You do not need to be avoiding FODMAPs (or planning to do so in the future) in order to benefit. Whether your goal is to reintroduce foods, support motility, calm bloating, or finally understand what your gut is trying to tell you, there is a ton of value here for you.


FODMAP Freedom isn’t about following a rigid diet. It’s about finding freedom in your gut, your food choices, and your life again. And that starts with learning how to support your body — no matter what stage of the game you’re at.

"What If I'm Outside the United States?"

The lessons in FODMAP Freedom can be applied to anybody anywhere in the world!

That being said, international students are responsible for paying the shipping fees, duties, and taxes associated with the prokinetic speed dating package, should they wish to receive one. Typical shipping fees to countries outside of North America are 200-300 USD. Shipping to Canada is usually 30-50 USD.


Additionally, it has become increasingly difficult to get packages through to other countries in recent months (Jan 2025 onward). So, at this time, I cannot guarantee that your package will make it to you if you live outside of the US.

"Are There Any Other Costs to Be Aware of (Supplements, Labs)?"

Laboratory testing is not necessary for the majority of FODMAP Freedom students. When testing is needed, it is usually something that your primary care doctor can order for you.

I do not recommend so-called "functional tests" (ex. GI Map) since:

1. Most of them are unvalidated

2. They are unnecessary to get the results you want


Most students purchase some supplements during their time in FODMAP Freedom. But, please know that this is not the emphasis of the program. Our goal is for you to take the fewest supplements possible to get the results you want.

"What If I Don't Have An Official Diagnosis?"

That’s totally ok! FODMAP Freedom is designed to help you assess and understand yourself without expensive testing. By the end of the program, you should know whether it is worth pursuing an official diagnosis of or trying strategies for: IBS, SIBO, dysbiosis, candida/yeast overgrowth, leaky gut, histamine intolerance, estrogen dominance, and hypothyroidism, among others.

"Can You Prescribe or Manage Prescription Medications (ex. Rifaximin/Xifaxan)?"

As a doctor of chiropractic (DC) and nutritional therapy practitioner (NTP), Dr. DiNezza is NOT able to prescribe, change, or monitor any medications. You will need to work with your prescribing MD, DO, NP, or PA to manage all medications.
